Northern Lights Kirinite — Kenilworth II Rollerball

If the Lava Wave is all heat and intensity, Northern Lights is its cooler, altogether more elemental counterpart.

This is Kirinite at its most vivid — a luminous, almost electric emerald green that has genuine depth to it, the kind of green that seems to glow from within rather than just sit on the surface. Bold black ribbons curl and sweep through it like they're in motion, giving the whole barrel an organic, flowing quality that's completely different depending on which angle you're looking from. It's not hard to see where the name comes from; there's something genuinely atmospheric about it, like catching the aurora over a dark landscape on a clear winter night.

Under direct light the transparency of the Kirinite really comes into its own — you can see the layers of colour moving through the material, which gives it that distinctive three-dimensional quality that cheaper acrylics simply can't replicate. In softer light the green deepens and the black takes on more presence, and the whole thing becomes quietly dramatic rather than loudly so.

Chrome fittings on the Kenilworth II keep everything crisp and clean alongside such a bold material — no fuss, just a confident pen that knows exactly what it is.
