Orange Swirl Kirinite — Kenilworth II Rollerball
£60.00
There's a warmth to this one that's almost impossible to look away from.
Antique Gold is a resin that does exactly what it promises — deep, honeyed amber flowing through rich toffee and dark chocolate brown in long, sweeping ribbons that have an almost liquid quality to them. It's not brash or shiny gold; it's the colour of aged amber, of old varnished mahogany, of warm light through a whisky glass. Understated in name, quietly extraordinary in person. In direct light the translucency of the material lets you see right through those amber layers, and the depth it creates is genuinely remarkable.
What's interesting about this particular pen is the pairing — chrome fittings against such an inherently warm material could easily feel cold or mismatched, but it doesn't. The coolness of the chrome actually offsets all that amber beautifully, giving it a crispness that stops it feeling heavy. It's a combination that feels considered rather than accidental.
The Kenilworth II sits perfectly in the hand — balanced, comfortable, with the kind of rollerball action that makes you actually look forward to writing things down.
This is the actual pen pictured. Turned and finished by hand in the West Midlands, and once it's found its owner it won't be replicated.
Fitted with a quality rollerball refill, ready to write straight away.
A genuine one-off, entirely handmade. The pen you see is the pen you receive.
