Ford Mustang Fordite

Sold

If ever a piece of fordite looked like it came from a legend, it's this one.

Mustang fordite has a character all of its own, and this particular piece makes that abundantly clear the moment you lay eyes on it. Crisp, bright white forms the dominant ground — already unusual in the world of fordite — and through it run bold, graphic sweeps of red, cobalt blue and flashes of gold, building into dramatic oval formations that sit at the heart of each barrel section like polished gemstone cabochons. It's simultaneously bold and precise, wild and structured, and it looks absolutely nothing like anything else in the range. From one angle it's all sweeping American confidence; rotate it slightly and those tight concentric layers become almost geological, like an agate sliced clean through.

The three images really show off just how much this material changes as you move around the pen — which is part of what makes it so special. Every viewing angle is a slightly different story.

Gunmetal fittings throughout suit the drama of the material perfectly — cool, sleek and contemporary, they frame those vivid colours without dampening them one bit. The bullet rollerball tip rounds off a pen that carries the Mustang's spirit in every layer.

Fifty-plus years of American automotive colour, compressed into something you can hold in the palm of your hand. Quite something, isn't it.
